Fall, Once Again
Author: Hemali Patil

The colors of the leaves bleed into the sky
Like the ink from my pen through the page
The leaves crunch under my boots as I walk by
It’s the sound of a crisp fall day
I crave the comfort of a cozy sweater
While reading a book by the fire
Not having to worry about rainy weather
And staying in as much as I desire
A breath of fresh air is what makes my day
Just like that, it’s fall again
Although winter is merely weeks away
Even when it slows, it’s never the end.
